Story time:

I’ve had stretches where I’ve felt quietly… behind.

Not dramatically off-track. Just that low-grade sense that other people cracked some invisible career code that I totally missed.

Meanwhile my career has felt a bit… patchwork.

You know the vibe:
a role here, a side project there, something vaguely impressive that’s hard to explain to your aunt at the family gathering.

And then - a small but useful revelation:
The people I was comparing myself to weren’t actually ahead - they were just easier to read.

What did this look like?
Neat titles. Linear moves. A story that makes sense at a glance.

But… the people doing the interesting, high-impact work I wanted to be part of - the ones building things, shaping initiatives, quietly pulling levers behind the scenes? (in the room where it happened etc etc.)

Their paths don’t read cleanly.

More layers. More side quests. More “that wasn’t in the plan”.

And it’s not just a nice idea - there’s data behind it.
